Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC) is Grayscale's answer to the outflows from GBTC. It launched on July 31, 2024 by spinning off part of GBTC's bitcoin, which went to GBTC shareholders as shares of the new fund, and it debuted with a 0.15% fee, ten times lower than GBTC's historic 1.5% and below IBIT and FBTC. The aim was to keep investors who were leaving for cheaper funds inside the house without forcing them to sell and realize gains. It trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker BTC, tracks the CoinDesk Bitcoin Benchmark Rate and holds its bitcoin with Coinbase Custody, with Anchorage Digital as an additional custodian. Since launch it has posted positive cumulative net inflows, in contrast with GBTC's sustained outflows, and as of November 2026 it holds about 63,000 BTC, ahead of ARKB and BITB.
