We say it before anything else because that is what you do, and because the rest of the article makes no sense if you do not know it.
That said: we have signed a partnership with Bybit EU, and it comes with a welcome offer for anyone arriving from here.
What the offer is
Three steps, no small print hidden away:
1. Open an account at Bybit EU and verify your identity. KYC is mandatory: it is a regulated exchange, there is no way around it. 2. Deposit €100. SEPA transfer, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal all work, as do crypto deposits. 3. Receive €50 in Bitcoin.
On top of that there is a referral programme: €25 in BTC for every friend who opens an account with your link and makes a first €100 deposit, plus another €25 for them. Combined, the campaign runs up to €75 in Bitcoin.
One piece of small print that does matter: the campaign is published by Bybit EU for new users across Europe. The full terms —deadlines and the activity that disqualifies a reward— are on the campaign page, and Bybit EU reserves the right to change or end it. If you are going to sign up, read it first — it takes two minutes and it is your money.
Who Bybit EU is
Two things worth separating, because they get mixed up. Bybit is the global exchange, founded in 2018, which in its 2025 year-end recap reported more than 80 million users worldwide. Bybit EU is the European entity — a different company with a different licence.
The verifiable facts about that entity:
- Bybit EU GmbH obtained a MiCAMiCAMarkets in Crypto-Assets: the European Union's regulatory framework for digital assets, in force since 2024.View term → licence from the Austrian supervisor, the FMA, on 29 May 2025. - Its European headquarters is in Vienna, and the EEA platform went fully live on 1 July 2025. - It serves 29 European Economic Area states —the 27 EU members plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway—, with Malta excluded. - On 4 August 2026, two weeks ago, Bybit Payments GmbH additionally secured an electronic money institution licence from the same FMA: the groundwork for person-to-person payments, e-money services and card features inside the regulated perimeter.
What the MiCA licence actually means
MiCA is the European regulation on markets in crypto-assets, and the part that matters here is that it creates the figure of the authorised crypto-asset service provider — CASP. A platform holding that authorisation does not mean your investment is guaranteed. It means duller and more useful things:
- A named supervisor with a jurisdiction: here Austria's FMA, not a vague regulator or a licence from a tax haven. - Capital, governance and risk-management requirements that must be evidenced to obtain the authorisation and to keep it. - Segregation of client assets from the platform's own, and rules on their custody. - A formal complaints procedure and pre-contractual disclosure duties. - A European passport: authorisation in one member state allows operating across the rest of the EEA.
What MiCA does not do: it does not protect you from the price falling, it does not insure your funds the way a deposit guarantee scheme does, and it does not turn a volatile asset into a safe one. The risk remains yours.
Why we do this, and what does not change
SatsIntel is free and has no paywall. The treasury directory, the mNAV calculator and the glossary are maintained the way anything else is: somebody pays for it. Deals like this one are one of the legs holding the project up, alongside the newsletter and the work of Standard 21.
What does not change:
- We hold nothing. If you open an account, your money sits with Bybit EU, not here. - We give no advice. None of this is financial, tax or legal advice. - We do not touch the data. No commercial deal changes a figure in the directory, an mNAVmNAVMultiple on Net Asset Value: how a treasury company trades relative to its BTC.View term → or a company profile. If a partner comes off badly in one of our analyses tomorrow, it comes off badly. - The links are marked. Every sponsored link on this site carries rel="sponsored nofollow", which is what Google asks for so they are not read as a vote of authority. The system applies it by domain, not the memory of whoever is writing.
If you decide to go ahead
Here is the link: open a Bybit EU account. Verify your identity, deposit €100, and the €50 in Bitcoin arrives under the terms of the campaign.
And if what you came for is the other thing we do —tracking which listed companies are buying Bitcoin, at what mNAV they trade and how much BTC Yield they generate— that stays free, with no sign-up and with nobody paying us for it: it is in the directory and in the app.
Crypto-assets are high-risk, highly volatile assets: you can lose all the capital you invest. Their tax treatment depends on your personal circumstances. SatsIntel is an information provider, is not authorised to offer crypto-asset services, and gives no financial, tax or legal advice. Facts about Bybit EU verified on 17 August 2026 against the company's own communications and coverage of the licence grant.
