FBTC is Fidelity Investments' spot Bitcoin ETF, from one of the largest asset managers in the world. Launched in January 2024, it stands apart from the rest of the market by using its own custody through Fidelity Digital Assets Services, rather than Coinbase Custody — removing an important point of concentration risk. With $19.5 billion in AUM and a 0.25% TER, it's the second-largest ETF by AUM. Its institutional flows are closely tied to Fidelity Wealth Management clients and corporate pension plans. For Argentine investors, FBTC has no CEDEAR listed on BYMA: peso-denominated exposure to spot Bitcoin currently runs through the IBIT CEDEAR, while investing in FBTC itself requires access to the US market via an international broker.
