Metaplanet Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under the ticker 3350.T, has published its annual results confirming a BTC Yield of 310.7% for fiscal year 2024 — the highest figure recorded among all listed companies with a Bitcoin treasury strategy.
BTC Yield measures the increase in BTC per diluted share and is considered the most relevant indicator for judging the effectiveness of an accumulation strategy. Metaplanet started 2024 with just 117 BTC and ended the year with more than 40,000.
The company, which before adopting Bitcoin operated mainly as a hotel-management business, has completely transformed its model. CEO Simon Gerovich has said on multiple occasions that the goal is to make Metaplanet "the MicroStrategy of Asia."
The accumulation plan continues in 2026. In the first quarter of the year, Metaplanet acquired an additional 900 BTC, financed mainly through yen-denominated bonds with maturities of 6 to 12 months.
Shares of 3350.T are up more than 800% since the company announced its Bitcoin strategy in April 2024, comfortably beating the Nikkei index and Bitcoin itself over the same period. See its live figures in the treasuries directory.
